updates

mat raeiyd was discharged from KJMC this afternoon. alhamdulillah. walaupun ubat dekat sekilo…

my dad will be discharged tomorrow from HTAR. he got some “fever” this morning, so the doc extend him another day .

I said “fever” because the nurse took his temperature reading just after he took his morning hot nescafe. that’s the only time his temperature was “feverish”…

2 hours after that, his temperature was normal.

As usual, the HTAR nurse will cite “hospital policy” when we asked them to discharge him early.

Raeiyd in hospital.

 raeiyd-and-I

Last night, my youngest son (Raeiyd – 1yr 8 mnths) was warded at Kelana Jaya Medical Center.

dia demam dan batuk-batuk.

it turns out tha tonsil dia dah bengkak dan dah mula kekuningan..

Meanwhile, at Klang Hospital my dad masuk darah malam tadi. probably today, another packet.

please pray for my son at KLMC, and my dad at HTAR.

My dad masuk hospital klang today. semput dan lemah badan. probably kurang darah.

gue tak puas hati gila dengan HTAR..
my dad masuk kul 3am kat emergency.
nurse kat yellow zone tak datang langsung tengok patient.
nurse sibuk borak kat meja diaorang.
just before nak tolak masuk ward, baru nak ambik blood pressure bebagai..

doktor pun tak friendly.
kita kasi info dan tanya soalan, sepatah haram dia tak balas.
we already know my dad’s condition. almost every month warded kat hospital kuantan since 2005 sebab tak cukup darah. so we pretty much know what he needs

Usually everytime masuk emergency, the doc will give him Neb first. (kat Hosp Jengka, Kuantan dan Temerloh)
We brought the appointment book dan ada medical notes kat situ.
We also brought his medicines
Doc yang kat emergency tu tengok buku sekali lalu je.. macam pandai sangat..
Langsung tak administer any medication.. just ambik darah dan suruh buat x-ray

dah le tu, masa masuk yellow zone tu dah ambik blood sample.
TAK HANTAR pegi lab pulak tu…
bila naik ward, dia bawak sekali tube darah tu.
Dah lebih 3 jam, doc kat ward kata darah tu dah tak bleh guna, kena ambik darah lagi sekali…
hampeh punya hospital.

lepas tu amik x-ray,
nurse kasi kita x-ray form, dan suruh kita hantar patient kat x-ray room.
bilik xray tu cuma 10 tapak je dari ward yellow zone tu.
tak nak dia tolong tolak patient masuk bilik x-ray tu.
suruh kita yang tolakkan.
lepastu, bila kita balik dari bilik xray tu, lepas 10 minit dia marah kita sebab tak ambik filem x-ray tu sekali.
aik!!!.. 10 tapak pun tak boleh ambik ke?..
suruh sedara patient yang ambik..
tak pernah aku jumpa procedure ni.
macam la aku MO/MA kat situ, nak tau procedure dia kena amik sendiri filem x-ray tu.

orang xray pun malas nak antar, nurse pun malas nak ambik..
sibuk borak je…

nak kata sibuk kerja, my dad was the only one patient at the emergency yellow zone tu, dan there are 3 nurses, and 3 doctors. OK. ada 2 lagi patient, tapi they was waiting to be discharged and left less than an hour later.

masuk pulak ward 8A, bukannya nak bagi katil, suruh duduk kat kerusi depan dia dan dia tanya soalan.
supposedly, the patient should be given a bed, and doctor would ask questions at the bed.

lepas buat ECG kat bilik sebelah, bila nak balik semula kat tempat tu, nurse plak duduk kat seat tu, and my dad dah berdiri kat situ. nurse tu buat bodo je..
aku pun sound la nurse tu: “takkan korang nak patient tu berdiri kot”..

nearly 7am, interview tak habis lagi…

we undertand that the ward is a VERY crowded, but if they don’t show these simple initiatives, then it is totally hopeless..

emergency ward tu pun kotor. ada one fresh bloed stains on the floor, and few pieces of shringe plastic wrapper and pieces of papers on the floor.

Nobody clean it from the time I came in untul the time I left the yellow zone to the 8A ward.

I informed that to doctor in charge, dia pandang je. tak buat apa pun, dan tak suruh nurse buat apa pun, and not even acknowledge the problem. just quiet. macam takde mulut…

hopeless…….

(this would be the first time that I wrote in mixed english/malay)…

btw, my father’s name is Teh bin Khatib Pamat

What do you think..

Design flaw or build flaw?…

The door of my bedroom seems protruding into the door of the toilet…

I think they should have build the door 15 to 30cm to the left..

Becoming Bandar Bukit Raja folks

I got the keys of my new home at Bandar Bukit Raja, Kelang last Friday 12/6/2009.

I think it is a decent single storey home.

On Monday I submitted the list of defects for the home. Quite plenty of defects since I thought Sime Property’s homes have good builds. They need to chase their main-con more often.

Anyway, I also found nice community forum for Bandar Bukit Raja at www.bukitraja.net and becoming its active member straight away

Finally, I hope that I could move in by middle of July after the defect repairs are completed and the grilles installed.

Hmmmm.. I am seriously looking for any business/job opportunity at Kelang (north side) or Shah Alam area.

Raziq’s hand stuck at the lift!.

Today I experience one of the scariest moment of my life. the moment that any parent would wish never happened. Thank God, everything ended-up OK.

We were at Sunway Pyramid (all five of us), I was doing some “research” on the next PC or notebook that we gonna purchase. there are some projects that requires better PC than the 5-year-old-Celeron that we currently  have.  We had decided to let the Celeron be the kids play-PC.

Anyway, there are not enough good models that fit in our specification, so we decided to go to Section 14 Digital Mall instead.

While inside the lift, Raziq was a bit playful, thumping his hand at the lift door. This is his usual “drill” whenever he in the lift of our apartment. I was holding Raeiyd on the other side of the elevator, while Ibu stands behind Raziq. When the lift door opens, his left hand still firmly  on the lift door.

Then the scary moment happened. As the door was opening, his left hand was pulled alongside and tucked into the  cavity between the door and the panel (where the door retracts).

His hand the became a wedge between the inside door and the elevator car. His hand stuck there, and the door cannot close.

It seems that the cavity between the door and the lift is too big, about 3-4cm, (about 1 1/4 inch), and any kid’s hand could easily slide in. Later on, I checked my apartment’s lift door, the cavity for our apartment’s lift  is only as thick as  the ATM card. There no possibility of anybody got their finger stuck there, let alone the whole hand.

So the difference is quite mind boggling.

Anyway, I not-so-gently put Raeid on the floor outside the lift, and began trying to pull Raziq’s hand out of the openings, but it just don’t bulge. Raziq was crying aloud, so I could not risk further injuring his hand. His hand right up to his elbow is trapped inside.

Ibu picked up Raeiyd, and ran outside to the CP2 parking-lot shouting for help, and looking for security guards. While Raidah also cried out aloud.

Soon, few good guys came for help. trying to push the door outwards so that the hand could be freed, but it still did not work. I have to hold Raziq firmly, so that his hand did not slide further down where the gap is smaller.

He also have to be hold lying up. His elbow would be bent if he stand straight. I cannot go anywhere, and would only have to rely on others to help relieve the door. Out of panic maybe, I couldn’t think of any solution.  Just hope the others know what to do.

The first iron frame that they found was too thick to slide into. Minutes later few guards, and “polis bantuan” came in and they immediately ask others to find any  other wood/steel/bar that can be used to widen the openings.

One found a wood, put it inside the cavity, and with a single yank, make the door move big enough for us the slide out Raziq’s arm.

Afterwards with the help of the security and building managemnt, we rush up him to the nearby Mediviron Clinic.

The doctor said that it looks like his hand is OK, but we might need to do x-ray to be sure. However since they did not have X-ray after 5PM, the doctor referred us to the Sunway Hospital instead.

At Sunway Hospital, the doctor immediately asked the nurse to put in a type of pain killer unto Raziq’s butt, while waiting for the x-ray to be ready.

After half an hour at the emergency room, we got the x-ray done, and alhamdulillah, the bones are still OK. But the hand had swollen a little bit.

We do have a bottle of Ibuprofen at home, The doctor adviced us to take the medicine to relieve his pain, and to  wrap the swollen arm with towel wrapped cold water or ice.

She asked us to come back if the swollen did not disappear after few days.

Anyway, thanks to Polis Bantuan En. Masnor (hope I got his name right) for helping us all the way.

and for Sunway Pyramid Management and officers who are really concern on the matter, ( an also for G.L.ing the medical bills).

Thank again to the Chinese guy who helped – the first one who give me a helping hand, and his wife for taking care of crying Raidah, while my wife rush for help.

Also to the brother with the blue shirt, and his wife, for putting all his might to help

And the rest who helped. May god bless you all.

Sorry for not able to thank all of you personally, I have to rush him for further medical attention.

At home, now Raziq behaves fine, and already had already started to nag me to let him use the computer.. But the swollen arm is more noticeable now especially at the back of the lower arm.

I will wait for one or two days.

Raziq and computers

Oh boy, I thought Raidah was a fast learner. It turns out her brother learnt extremely fast. and quietly too. He now can switch on and shutdown the PC.

Raziq will be 3 yrs old this July.

I caught him playing one of my games with adik looks on.

Exora is coming.

My wife and I went to Proton Mutiara Damansara last thursday, and got to view the  Exora. Looks like this is going to be the next thing in our shopping cart.

but not too soon. probably after a year or so..

Everthing in Exora looks good for the price.  I am not complaining on the “adequate” 1.6l engine.  since I am not going to race it.. My Rusa would do just fine for racing… uchhhh….

Just got some phobia with the gated gear shifter. Looks like it does not have any kind of locks.  I could change from P to any gears freely..  that would freaks me out – a little bit.

I wonder what would happen if Raziq or Raeiyd.. now 1.5yrs, and 3 years old, got to play with it, while the engine still running.

Ibu usually sits at the back, and I might be out to buy someting, and forgot to put in the hand brake… and this two boys would sits on the drivers seat and  starts moving the gears back and forth.

ouchhh can’t imagine…

Also, the teh tarik hook at the back of the front passenger seems frimly placed there.

hope Proton could make it “hideable” if it is not in use.  It is in the same level to the kids eyes. and it might be a hazard.. I might take the hook out if I’m going to buy it…

so on…
